Stop by Sun Spot on February 4 between 9am-1pm for a special Valentine’s-themed event! Participate in hands-on drop-in activities led by Sun Spot artists Emily Endo, Jillian Sandell, and Jai Knight and check out work for sale by 15+ other local artists and collectives.

Learn to create your own natural perfume in a lab-style workshop led by Emily Endo. Participants are invited to drop in and blend their own perfume. Each student will get to choose from over 30 different natural materials – from flowers to desert sage and seaweed, and will leave with a glass roller-ball bottle of their own custom blended alcohol-based perfume.

Next, join Jillian Sandell to make your own rubber ink-stamped card to send to a neighbor, friend, family member, or someone in the community. All materials supplied, including stamps for postage. Don’t limit yourself, remember, love is an infinite resource!

Last but not least, come admire the handmade paper and paper-pulp sculptures made by Jai Knight and participants in their “Recycling Center” workshop happening this month. If you made paper with us at The Firehouse JT last weekend, this will also be the time to pick up your finished projects! Special paper handmade by Jai will also be for purchase if you missed the workshop.

No RSVP required, all activities are free and drop-in but additional donations for the artists or Sun Spot will be accepted. Stay for 10 minutes or 2 hours, either way we can’t wait to make art with you and celebrate our love for community!
