Arts Innovator Micro Grant

Arts Innovator Micro Grant Program

The Arts Innovator Micro Grant program offers individual artists one-time grants of $500 and $1,000 for project support, career advancement, and or professional development support on a one-time basis. Artists must live and work in San Bernardino County. .

Join Arts Connection and help us build this important resource for the arts community – either as a micro grant sponsor or applicant. Together, we will lead the way for change!

Program Funding Goals

Artists of all mediums and artistic experiences are welcome and encouraged to apply. This program  intends to support artists working, residing in, and benefiting the communities of San Bernardino  County. Artists must be current, full-time residents of San Bernardino County.

Proposed work should demonstrate innovative thinking and creative approaches to advance an individual, local, or community identified goal. This must be clearly stated in your project idea narrative in the application.

Proposed work does not need to be completed with this funding; this can be startup funding for a larger  project idea, or contribute to a larger budget professional development or career advancement goal. Projects do not have to be new. They do not need to be large in scope.

Projects should:

– Demonstrate impact on the community served OR

– Demonstrate impact on the artistic practice, or project, in focus.

For example, proposed projects might be single events, or a series. Projects might include mentoring, or  professional development, or research time. A “project” might include the pivotal purchase of specific  equipment necessary for career or project support.
