This position is a Chaffey College Short-Term Worker 6: $13/hr.  This position is a Short-Term position for one year maximum without the possibility to repeat (September – June 30).

 

Chaffey College invites applications for a Short-Term Hourly Gallery Assistant to work at the Wignall Museum of Contemporary Art at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga.  This position will assist with museum customer service, security and general operations.  The employee will often be asked to operate without direct supervision.  This position is primarily a Saturday only position.  Additional irregular shifts may become available to assist with exhibition installations and de-installations as needed.  This position will require a limited paid introductory period sometime during the weekday museum office hours to familiarize with the institution, job duties and expectations.

Featuring Jeremy Lelliott and Doug Harvey

Based on Mark Twain's classic tale about two boys in 16th century England who trade clothes one afternoon, and accidentally trade lives as well! As the boys learn to function in each other's worlds, they both learn important lessons about inequality and justice. In the end, matters are set right again, with one of the boys resuming his rightful, royal place, and the other accepting a position that recognizes his natural intelligence and good heart.

(For ages 7+)

William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew"

Baptista Minola has two beautiful daughters. The youngest is Bianca who is being pursued by several suitors for her hand in marriage. However, Batista refuses to give blessing to any marriage for Bianca until someone marries her older sister, Katherine. Unfortunately, Katherine is famous for being angry, mean, and bad-tempered (a shrew). Unexpectedly a stranger arrives who seems to be perfect for Katherine - Petruchio. What follows is the classic comedy of "the war between the sexes" as Katherine and Petruchio attempt to impose their wills on each other and accidentally uncover the secret of a long and happy union.
