FOUNDED in 2023 by way of a breakthrough Creative Corps Inland SoCal grant, the MISSION of “Solstice Theatre IE” is to uplift stories of diverse families & nature in Colton through shadow puppetry. The GOAL is to create 5 SHORT (10 minute) plays to be performed for a new play festival in Colton during weeks of the Winter & Summer Solstices. We do this through FREE Community Theatre workshops (playwrighting, shadow puppetry, eco-friendly set/prop design, production 101), General Meetings, New Play Festivals, & other activities to engage folks in storytelling inspired by Land, Diaspora, & People Power. Accessibility accommodations are available for language (Spanish, English, Tagalog), deaf, HoH, blind, & neurodiverse individuals. ALL materials are provided. ALL levels of experience & curiosity are welcome. Volunteers can join anytime to support outreach, workshops, events, and MORE!
