SAN BERNARDINO CITY - Clean california grant
Arts Connection led the grant writing for the creative placekeeping and revitalization of the 4th Street Alley Beautification Project which is located in the southern part of the City, in the Historic Arts District in downtown San Bernardino, with the entrance at West 4th Street. The city-owned 150-foot alley, is an unoccupied, empty space littered with trash, large household items and discarded construction materials.
The project proposes to install lighting, add landscaping and irrigation, replace asphalt with pavers, construct a community stage, install trash enclosures with new City trash bins, install two bike racks, provide litter abatement signage, create new seating, an entrance gate and archway sign, and contract with the Arts Connection to commission murals and sculptures reflecting the history and culture of the City.
