Heather Sprague is a native Californian, and long time resident of the Morongo Basin, with ties going back four generations. She has Bachelor degrees in Art History and Art Studio from the University of California, Davis. She now works full time as a professional artist and photographer. When she isn’t focused on her own current fine art exhibitions and projects, she volunteers her time as President of Joshua Tree Living Arts, a non-profit dedicated to creating artistic opportunities in the community for both children and adults. She is also a Teaching Artist and Artist Coordinator in Groundwork Arts, a for profit company in the Morongo Basin focused on bringing art practice to as many children as it can reach, introducing them to artists within their own communities, and arranging classes taught by working artists.
