Arts Connection is dedicated to stimulating creative and economic vitality and enriching lives throughout the communities we serve by providing support, promotion, education, and advocacy for the arts.

Connecting artists and arts organizations to financial resources, local networks, and professional consultants and opportunities that enhance their creative endeavors, events and projects.

Artist Spotlight
Lucy J. Sunga has been teaching since 2019 at the Garcia Center for the Arts. She is a ceramic artist and instructor who focuses on hand-building skills. Lucy has lived in San Bernardino for 21 years and is a first generation college student who graduated from CSUSB in 2021 with a focus in Studio Arts (ceramics) She is also now a recently elected Commissioner to the Fine Art and Historical Preservation Commission for the 6th Ward in the City of San Bernardino.
As an artist and mother, Lucy hopes to continue to be active in teaching to help make the arts accessible to the residents she’s serves in the her community. Lucy was awarded a 2021 Arts Innovator Micro Grant from Arts Connection and is now working with the organization on a Storytelling With Clay workshop as part of a citywide arts initiative called Blocks of Care.

Arts Connection acknowledges the Gabrielino/Tongva, Serrano, Chemehuevi, Vanyume, Cahuilla, Halchidoma, and Mojave peoples as the traditional land caretakers of various parts of the region. Arts Connection is a state-local partner to the California Arts Council, designated by the county board of supervisors to serve the county’s citizens. As the local arts agency, we are officially designated to provide financial support, services, or other programs to a variety of cultural arts organizations, individual artists, and the diverse communities of the county.
