Carol Damgen is a fulltime Theatre Arts faculty member at California State University, San Bernardino. She is completing her M.F.A. at the UCR-Palm Desert M.F.A. Low Residency Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts Program. As a director, she has staged many productions: A Christmas Carol, Almost, Maine, Becky’s New Car, Charlotte’s Web, God of Carnage, Hauptman, Private Lives, The Hobbit, The Hollow, The Music Man and To Kill a Mockingbird to name a few. She has won eleven Inland Theatre League Awards for Acting, Directing, Playwriting and Scene Design. Recently, Carol had her award winning original show, The Twists and Turns of Edgar Allan Poe produced at CSUSB. She looks forward to her next original play, CSUSB’s production of Jackie Robinson-An American Dream which opens January 2014 in conjunction with Black History Month.
