Chino Community Theatre will be having auditions for our 30th season opener, BOEING, BOEING by Marc Camoletti and directed by Cindi East.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17 at 10 am.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. All roles available. All roles substantial.

Performances will be January 10 - February 1, 2014.

Plot Synopsis: Bernard, a business man living in France smoothly juggles love affairs with three air hostesses who touch down briefly between flights. They all think they are the one and only and engaged to Bernard. There is Gloria a stewardess from PanAm, Gabriella a stewardess from Air France and Gretchen a stewardess from Lufthansa. His housekeeper Bertha helps him keep track of all the schedules and assists him in his deceptions. When Bernard's old school friend Robert arrives, things begin to fall apart as schedules change, flights get delayed and chaos ensues in this hysterical, high-flying fiancee-fueled fiasco!

Character Breakdown:

Bernard (Early 30's to mid 40's) Handsome, energetic, flirtatious and charming (French accent preferred but might accept American)

Robert (Early 30's to mid 40's) Naive to the romantic side of life. From mid west where life is much slower. Somewhat nerdy or inept (American)

Gloria (Mid 20's to late 30's) Take-charge, health obsessed. Cheerleader type (American)

Gabriella (Mid 20's to late 30's) Sentimental, lusty, very smart and suspicious (French or Italian accent a must)

Gretchen (Mid 20's to late 30's) Dominating, militant, passionate. Lower register would scare any man into marrying her (German accent a must)

Berthe (40's to 50's) Taciturn, no-nonsense, gruff, bully housekeeper who loves nothing more than to complain (French accent preferred but might accept German or American)
