A new collaborative workspace in Redlands called The Orange Space features guest talks and a variety of monthly workshops. This month, workshops include Photo Fundamentals, Block Printmaking, Creative Ideation, and Calligraphy. The workshops are friendly for beginners and open to all.
At the Creative Ideation Workshop on February 19, attendees will learn methods for generating great ideas for illustration and graphic design. Illustrator Candice Broersma will demonstrate her approach for different projects she has worked on, including cover art, logo design, and character design. The workshop will also include a guided project creating a fictional logo design to apply new skills in conceptualizing. All that is needed for the workshop is paper, pencil, and your thinking cap!
The ICPA Arts Council is hosting a Star Wars Film Festival and Costume Contest, Saturday, January 28th. The costume contest will begin at 11am with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winner being announced at 5pm. Episodes IV, V, VI will be shown. Tickets are $5 for one movie or $12 for all three. It’s been an eventful year at Arts Connection, filled with creativity and excitement as we head into our third year as an organization!
