JOSHUA TREE, CA, April 20, 2018:

The inaugural Hi-DeF Hi-Desert Fringe experience is set for August 24-26, 2018.

Founders Dawn Davis, Miri Hunter and Ann Van Haney are hi-desert residents and performers active in the local theatre and arts scenes. They created Hi-DeF to provide a forum showcasing world-class innovative, boundary-pushing theatre and performance art in the Morongo Basin. The event will feature new works and world premieres from local, national and international artists as well as classes and panel discussions for artists and audiences.

Hi-DeF will take place on the campus of the Joshua Tree Retreat Center August 24-26, 2018.

Artist applications will be accepted until June 6, 2018. Prospective performers can complete the application package at www.hidesertfringe.org.

Additional information about sponsorship opportunities, advertising packages, volunteering and event tickets can also be found at www.hidesertfringe.org.

A kickoff event for Hi-DeF will be held on May 12, 2018 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Ink and Steel at 61657 Twentynine Palms Hwy, Joshua Tree, CA 92252.

Hi-DeF is a program of Project Sheba, a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization. The mission of Hi-DeF is to bring original, non-traditional, gritty, edgy, thought-provoking performance art to the Hi-Desert.
